Format Creative is a Canadian boutique design studio that specializes in WordPress web design and branding for service-based businesses that are passionate about growing and building their business, founded in 2011 by Joelle Cottle, a professional Graphic Designer with well over a decade of in industry experience.
Joelle is the company’s Owner, Creative Director, and ‘Brains’ of the operation. She loves to help people who are passionate about their business build connections. She is a Graphic Designer, that specializes in building brands and WordPress websites for bloggers, freelancers, solopreneurs, and small businesses – likeminded entrepreneurs who have a great passion for what they do.
After graduating from St. Lawrence College with a diploma in Graphic Design, Joelle spent over a decade in a traditional print and publishing design studio as an educational illustrator and Graphic Designer. She ‘discovered’ WordPress in 2007, and it was love at first sight. With a passion for branding, design, and building WordPress websites, as well as over a decade of professional experience she went on to launch Format Creative in 2011.
Joelle is fueled by her client’s enthusiasm in that moment when all the elements come together, and everything just clicks.
We love to talk business and share the knowledge we’ve gained over a decade of experience in the field. We are all about helping you create an authentic relationship with your ideal customers, one that builds connections and brings you the momentum you are looking for.
Who knew you loved Doctor Who too?
Joelle can binge read any zombie or urban paranormal novel in less than 24 hours. She has an affinity for all things Doctor Who and Walt Disney World and has an addiction to Cream Egg McFlurries (“Why does it have to be seasonal!?”).
“When my girl friends were trying to be cute, I’d be the one telling bad jokes entirely too loud, and wondering why I’m getting kicked under the table.”
